About Us
From Fabric to Freedom

Why We Started
The Beginning
It all started with a visit to an IDP camp in Abuja.
What we saw changed everything.
95% of the girls there were using pieces of old clothing to manage their periods — a method that is not only unhygienic but also deeply uncomfortable and unsafe.
Rahap's Story
One girl, Rahap, approached us with a whisper, her voice barely audible:
“Did you bring any pads?”
We didn’t have much, just some fabric, a few disposable pads, and a desire to help. That day, we sat with the girls and traced the shape of a disposable pad onto cloth. It wasn’t fancy — but it was powerful.
We stitched the first prototype together — a reusable sanitary pad made from love, innovation, and a strong desire to restore dignity.
The look on Rahap’s face? Unforgettable. For the first time, she saw a solution she could count on, month after month.
We didn’t have a brand name yet. We didn’t have pricing or packaging. But we knew we had created something of value.
How We Started
From that moment, Virtuous Reusable Pads was born.
We’re not just providing menstrual products — we’re helping girls stay in school, gain confidence, and reclaim their future.
Our work is rooted in the belief that menstruation should never be a barrier to opportunity.
We align with Sustainable Development Goals 3, 4, 5, 7, 8, 10, 12, 14, and 16, because empowering girls is never just about one pad. It’s about transforming a life.
The Journey Begins
For some of us, a “period” is just punctuation — a full stop at the end of a sentence.
For girls like Rahap, a period could mean the end of her education, her confidence, or her sense of safety.
But not anymore. Not with Virtuous Pads.
Join us in rewriting the story. One pad at a time.
